Angie's Story

Angie has been with Wonder Puppy since 2006. In addition to being a professional member of the APDT, Angie is also Pet First Aide / CPR Certified and the owner of D.Dogs Pet Sitting. In 2008, Angie graduated from Wonder Puppy’s Professional Dog Trainers Program and she is currently accruing head trainer hours for testing in fall of 2009 to become a nationally Certified Pet Dog Trainer with the APDT.

Angie has always had an incredible fervor for dogs. She grew up in Maine where she learned to train Bluetick Coonhounds for hunting and spent many days exploring beaches and watching Red Sox games with her faithful Black Lab, Casey D. Dog—experiences which proved inspirational for her career. Before joining the Wonder Puppy team, Angie worked for three years as the manager of Lexi Dog Social Club and Boutique.

When Angie is not busy at Wonder Puppy, she can be found taking care of her extended “doggy” family at D.Dogs, alongside her lovable Lab mix, Isiah D. Dog, and her Boston bundle of joy, Fenway D. Dog.

Testimonials

Suzanne Hein, Owner Of Lexi Dog Social Club & Boutique
"I have had the pleasure of knowing and working with Angie for well over 3 years, as the manager of one of my dog daycare locations. In a daycare environment, dogs in large groups must be taught to keep boundaries, socialize well together, and of course, have fun while minding their basic manners; all these are imperative for a safe and engaging environment. Angie has always exhibited an ease and confidence in teaching dogs to exhibit these behaviors, so that daycare can be a good experience for all involved.

“Whether helping a nervous, timid dog gain confidence and interaction skills, or teaching an overly exuberant dog to settle down and not jump up inappropriately, Angie greets the many different personalities we encounter with a calm, positive, and consistent presence… helping them become the best dogs they can be. The ‘parents’ and employees with whom she has worked have appreciated and welcomed her perspective, help, and involvement. I would whole-heartedly recommend Angie in any area of dog training!"

Olso, Great Dane
Angie, I just wanted to take a minute to thank you SO much for your help with Oslo. He has made a real turn for the better since our training sessions. He still barks when dogs walk by the window, and sometimes when people walk by, but for the most part he has stopped. He certainly does not bark for an hour like he used to :)

You have really changed my life with Oslo. I was so stressed out by him and it was hard to be around him sometimes but now I can't wait to get home and hang out with my boy! Training is so much fun for him and it really has brought us closer together.

He is still a work in progress but now that I have the tools, I can help him be a better dog and a happier dog. So, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Oslo thanks you too!

Bibi, Chihuahua

Hi Angie - I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the work and progress you are making with Bibi.  It means so much to me.  To think that when you first met her we thought we could only make progress if she went on medication.  I now have hopes of getting her more socialized so others can enjoy her and she can enjoy others as much as she and I enjoy each other. It will also give me some freedom as I feel I can't invite anyone over and can't travel so as not to leave her behind.  Your work is simply life changing for both of us.

Thank you.  I am so happy we met you.
